Uzbekistan is a key agricultural origination market for China. Over the years, China has expanded its basket of agricultural products and increased their supplier lists. In March 2020, the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) issued a notice allowing the import of Uzbek peanuts. However, only approved GACC factories are permitted to export peanuts to China. This regulation has strengthened the quality control of imported peanuts. Among Uzbekistan's agricultural exports to China, green mung beans are in high demand, with China importing over 100,000 metric tons annually from this origin. Volumes are anticipated to increase in future.
