Our Agri-Inputs vertical was started to solve one of the most fundamental problems that plagued small farmers in Africa – the unavailability of affordable and good quality inputs to increase their farm yields and bolster their incomes.
Over time, ETG Agri Inputs has built a portfolio of fertilizers, seeds, agro-chemicals, and farm equipment to meet the need of every farmer – regardless of region, crop, and price range. This portfolio is supported by a large team of agronomists who help farmers choose the best inputs to maximize profitability. While our biggest market remains Africa, where we are able to reach thousands of small-holding farmers and provide a market for their goods through our commodity trading business, ETG Agri Inputs has expanded its reach to key markets in Asia with expansions underway in Europe and North America. In China we actively trade a wide variety of fertilizers and can provide a wide range of solutions from our global portfolio.
Fertilizers
Our range of fertilizers includes nitrates, sulphates, phosphates, EDTAs, water soluble and horticulture grades. In addition to the standard use fertilizers, we also provide specialty blends based on crop specific or soil specific needs. Our crop specific blends of macro and micro-nutrients include W Compound for wheat, X Compound for vegetables, Soya Blend, Banana Blend and several others. Our R&D team also works with commercial farmers to understand the needs of the soil in their region to provide tailored solutions.
Agro-Chemicals
Our range of agro-chemicals includes herbicides, insecticides, fungicides, rodenticides, bactericides and larvacides. Within herbicides we can offer both selective and non-selective variants, for insectides we have systematic, contact and ingested variants. We can offer a wide range of pesticides to our clients based on their specific needs and local regulations.
Seeds and Farm Equipment
ETG deals in natural, hybrid and specially treated seeds of various kinds. We have tie-ups with leading agri-tech companies with high guarantees of germination. In African countries such as Zambia we are working with the government to provide high-quality seeds to local farmers.
Farm equipment is a new offering for ETG Agri Inputs and currently includes two variants of pressure sprayers made to be cost effective to farmers.
